The story of the man who lives without heart for 6 months

Jakub Halik is truly a miracle. 37-year-old Czech firefighters had to remove the heart definitely in April of this year, due to a tumor. In this way Mr. Halik underwent an experimental cardiac surgery. His heart was replaced by a mechanical pump. The operation lasted 8 hours and took place in Prague from cardiologist Jan Pirka.
